It is known that when the eldest of the elves walk in the deepest parts of Mirkwood, the sounds of the forest in its healthier, happier days is what they hear. They hear not the sounds of the sickness that has infested their lands, they only hear the trees as they once were, for these are the sounds that sing in their souls and thrum in their veins.
